Add a role
Paste a posting, or pick one Airtight found for you. Write the resume and cover letter for it, and the role gets a card with the posting, the fit check and both documents attached.

Mark it applied
You apply on the employer's site, then click Mark as applied. Airtight never submits for you, so the board only ever says what you actually did.

Book each round, keep notes
Recruiter call, phone screen, technical screen, onsite, or your own name for it, with a date and time in your time zone. Notes live under the round they belong to: what they asked, who you spoke to, what to bring up next.

Move it to Offer
Or to Closed, with the reason: rejected, no response, or withdrawn. Nothing is deleted. The documents and notes stay with the role.

Rounds with dates
Each interview is a named round with an optional date and time. Future dates are the point: booking the interview is the main reason to open the page.
Notes on the card
The latest note shows on the card with a count of the rest. A quick-note button on every card, a full notes panel on the role.
Documents where you need them
The resume and cover letter PDFs download from the card, with the result of the applicant tracking system check beside them.
Interview prep sheet
The fit check exported as an editable Word document: every requirement marked supported, needs your input, or not yet supported, with the evidence from your history and a note on how to position the gaps.
One card per role
A role added twice, once from Discover and once by pasting, collapses into one card. Cards sort with booked rounds first, soonest at the top.
A nudge, not a decision
After three weeks in Applied with nothing new, the role asks whether to mark it no response. You can always change it back.
Notes
What they asked, kept where you will look for it.
Every application has a notes panel, and every note files under the round it belongs to. The recruiter's name, the question that caught you out, what to bring up next time: it sits on the card, not in a notes app you have to search.
- A quick note from the board, or the full panel on the role. Press Command and Enter to save.
- Notes and stage changes in one timeline, newest first, so the story of the application reads top to bottom.
- The latest note shows on the card with a count of the rest.
- Up to two thousand characters per note. Nothing is deleted when a role closes.
What the tracker does not do
Said up front, because the tools in this category earn their bad name by hiding it.
- It never applies for you and never changes a stage on its own. Writing the documents does not mark a role applied; you do.
- It does not send email or push reminders. Booked rounds show in the app, in the Coming up line and on the card.
- It has no contacts book. A recruiter's name and email go in a note on the round, where you will look for them.
- It tracks applications you prepare in Airtight. A pasted role sits as a draft until you write the documents for it.
Common questions
- Is the job tracker free?
- Yes. The board, rounds and notes are part of every account, including the free one. Your first three applications are free with no card, and if you stop paying later, nothing you made is taken away: your documents stay downloadable and your board keeps working.
- Can I track an application I did not write with Airtight?
- Paste the posting and the role is on the board as a draft. The board is built around applications prepared here, so writing the resume and cover letter for it is what moves it into the stages. That is also when the fit check and the prep sheet exist for it.
- Does it apply for me or update the stage automatically?
- No, and it never will. You apply on the employer's site and mark it applied. The only automatic thing is a question: after three weeks in Applied with nothing new, the role offers to be marked no response. It never sets it.
- What is the interview prep sheet?
- The fit check for that role as an editable Word document. Every requirement in the posting is marked supported, needs your input, or not yet supported, with the evidence from your history beside it and a note on how to position anything not yet proven. It is built from the fit check you already have, so it is ready the moment the documents are.
- What does the board keep for each application?
- The archived posting, so it stays readable after the listing comes down. The resume and cover letter. The applicant tracking system check result. Every stage change with its date, every round with its date and time, and every note.
- How is this different from a spreadsheet?
- The spreadsheet does not know what you sent. Here the card carries the documents, the fit check and the posting, and the next round sits at the top of the board. Nothing about the search has to be copied in from somewhere else.
